Original V50/PV sheet metal look. Modern PK fork. Finally, without the need for time-consuming adjustments. The specially developed BGM PRO metal fender combines the classic Vespa small-frame design with a precision-fit mount for PK forks—even providing enough space for sport shock absorbers with expansion tanks, such as the BGM PRO Competition.
Ideal for the V50, Primavera, ET3, and other small-frame models with PK forks. Classic sheet-metal fenders instead of the previously common fiberglass or carbon fiber conversion kits.
A modern PK fork, high-quality sport suspension, and yet the original look of a classic Vespa Smallframe? Until now, achieving this with a sheet-metal fender was a real challenge. Not anymore.
The BGM PRO metal fender was specifically designed to combine the classic fender shape of the Vespa V50 and Primavera with the significantly differently designed PK fork. And best of all: even high-performance sport shock absorbers with expansion tanks, such as the BGM PRO Competition, fit under the fender.
This eliminates the previously necessary—and often very time-consuming—modification of the original fender, fork, and shock absorber mount. It’s a solution that enthusiasts of classic small-frame Vespas have been waiting for.
Converting a Vespa V50, Primavera, or ET3 to a more modern PK fork has been one of the most popular suspension modifications for years. The PK fork offers a more modern shock absorber mount, more favorable suspension geometry, and better options for high-performance braking systems.
Until now, the fender was often the sticking point. The original V50/PV sheet-metal fender is designed for the slim construction of the early small-frame fork. The PK fork’s significantly bulkier shock absorber mount, on the other hand, requires considerably more space.
Riders who wanted to keep the classic fender often had to:
It became particularly difficult when a bulky sport shock absorber with a reservoir was to be installed as well.
The BGM PRO fender solves this problem thanks to its design, developed specifically for PK forks. The necessary clearance and mounting points were already factored in during manufacturing. This eliminates the otherwise required extensive sheet metal work and modifications to the shock absorber mount.
With this fender, special emphasis was placed on authentic manufacturing methods. Instead of replicating a similar shape out of plastic, we had a genuine metal fender manufactured according to the classic design principle of the early Vespa small-frame models.
The fender consists of two separately pressed sheet metal halves that are joined together by spot welds along a centered, stepped bead.
It is precisely this characteristic joint that is a key feature of the original V50/PV fenders. It creates the typical shape and sets it apart from many universal reproductions or visually different aftermarket fenders.
The result is a look that is virtually indistinguishable from the original—with a design that is already engineered beneath the sheet metal to accommodate the more modern PK chassis.
A particularly significant advantage is the additional installation space around the strut. The BGM PRO metal fender was designed so that even high-quality sport shock absorbers with integrated expansion tanks can be used.
These include, for example, the BGM PRO Competition, whose sophisticated damping system requires significantly more space than a simple stock passenger car shock absorber.
This means that when performing a sophisticated suspension conversion, you no longer have to choose between a classic sheet-metal look and a high-performance sport suspension.
For shock absorbers from other manufacturers, clearance should be checked based on the respective dimensions.
A modern suspension is often a sensible addition, especially for high-performance classic small-frame motorcycles. A PK fork allows for the use of corresponding sport shock absorbers and provides a solid foundation for upgrading to a more powerful braking system.
Until now, riders often had to compromise on aesthetics to achieve this. Either the original fender had to be extensively modified, or a specially shaped conversion fender made of fiberglass or carbon fiber was used.
The BGM PRO metal fender combines both requirements: classic body styling and modern suspension technology. It’s particularly appealing for high-quality restorations, subtle performance upgrades, and anyone who wants to keep their Vespa looking as close to the original as possible.

For vehicles or conversions with a compatible Vespa PK front fork:
Compatibility depends on the PK fork used and its shock absorber mount. For custom modifications and non-standard fork designs, the fit must be checked on a case-by-case basis.
The fender is already prepared for the design and mounting of a suitable PK fork. No extensive modifications to the fender, repositioning of the mounting points, or removal of material from the stock shock absorber mount are required for the intended combination.
Important: If a PK fork is installed in an older V50, Primavera, or ET3 frame, vehicle-specific adjustments to the head tube, steering stop, or suspension geometry may still be required, regardless of the fender. The BGM PRO fender eliminates the need for previous adjustments to the fender and its mounting area; however, it does not replace a professional fork conversion.
Before final assembly and painting, we recommend performing a test fit with the shock absorber and front wheel fully installed. In particular, check for free movement over the entire suspension travel and the clearances to the wheel, shock absorber, and frame.
It combines the original V50/PV sheet-metal look with a design specifically developed for PK forks. Unlike previous conversion solutions made of fiberglass or carbon, it consists of two pressed and spot-welded sheet-metal halves—entirely in line with the classic manufacturing principle.
No. For the intended PK fork combination, the shape and mounting are already designed accordingly. There’s no need to modify the original V50/PV fender, as was previously required.
Yes. The fender was also designed to accommodate the additional space required by sport shock absorbers with expansion tanks, such as the BGM PRO Competition. For other shock absorber designs, check for clearance.
Yes. The outer shape is based on the classic V50/PV models. The two-piece sheet metal construction with a stepped center rib and spot-welded joints also corresponds to the original’s characteristic manufacturing principle. The design accounts for adaptation to the PK fork.
To mount the fender on a compatible PK fork, the modifications to the fender and shock absorber mounts that were previously required are no longer necessary. If the PK fork is to be installed in an older small-frame chassis, the fork itself may still require vehicle-specific modifications.
This fender was developed specifically for the PK fork. For an original V50, Primavera, or ET3 fork, we recommend a fender in the corresponding stock version.
