Black Edition for the scooter icons of the 1990s and 2000s: the DMP footrest set combines the original-style construction with a deep black, technical and sporty finish. Made from aluminium, these pillion footrests feature a black anodized surface that creates a significantly more distinctive appearance than the classic silver version. Especially on a Gilera Runner, Piaggio NRG or TPH, the dark look fits perfectly into a sporty custom build.
The construction follows the original design and retains the characteristic shape of the folding footrests. The set includes the left and right footrest together with the small parts required for installation – ideal for restoration, replacement or a carefully chosen visual upgrade.
The black anodized finish gives the footrests a completely different character. The smooth side surfaces appear deep and dark, while edges, curves and the structured upper surfaces catch numerous small reflections. This keeps the technical shape clearly visible while giving the components a considerably sportier and more modern appearance.
Particularly striking is the elongated footrest surface with its numerous raised square structures. Finished in black, they create an almost continuous technical texture, with individual contours becoming more pronounced depending on the light. The raised outer ends and substantial mounting sections further emphasise the functional character of the original-style construction.
With classic sport scooters, the appeal is often in the details. Instead of completely changing the familiar shape, DMP combines the original-style construction with a black finish. This preserves the typical character of Runner, NRG and TPH models while allowing the footrests to blend particularly well with black components, dark wheels and other Custom details.
When folded, the construction remains compact against the vehicle. Once unfolded, the long structured footrest surface becomes visible – a combination of function and classic scooter design that gains its own distinctive Factory character through the black finish.
The set contains both footrests as well as the small parts required for installation and the folding mechanism. The images show the black aluminium footrests together with pivot pins, retaining plates, springs, balls and retaining clips. The silver-coloured installation components create a technical contrast with the black anodized footrests.
The familiar shape remains, but the appearance becomes considerably darker: with its black anodized surface, DMP transforms a classic functional component into a visible styling detail. Especially on sporty Runner, NRG and TPH builds, it creates a distinctive combination of original scooter DNA and uncompromising Black Factory style.
