The HITECH CARBONE HTR 255 mm is a front shock absorber for riders who do not simply want to fit a firmer replacement shock absorber to their PX fork, but are looking for a suspension component that can be precisely tuned. Thanks to the separate adjustment of spring preload, compression and rebound, the front can be tuned very precisely to the rider's weight, riding style, tires, braking system and road conditions. A cleanly working damper is particularly noticeable on the Vespa front axle.
The design of the Vespa front works differently to a modern telescopic chassis. This makes it all the more important to have a shock absorber that responds cleanly and at the same time offers sufficient reserves under heavy braking and at higher speeds. The HTR helps to make the front appear calmer, more controlled and more precise. This makes a noticeable difference, especially with a sporty riding style, on poor roads or in combination with more powerful engines.
The HTR is designed as an oleopneumatic gas pressure shock absorber with a separate reservoir. The mounting area of the reservoir is made entirely from Ergal. The 14 mm piston rod is made of hardened C45 steel, the upper mounting eyelet is made of stainless steel. The spring is made of hardened steel and has a variable winding with 6 mm wire thickness.
The Black Edition has a durable black anodized finish. The preload nut and compression adjuster have a titanium look. This gives the damper a high-quality and sporty look without unnecessarily detracting from the classic appearance of the PX.
The HTR dampers can be fully regenerated, but only with original components from HITECH CARBONE. This makes the shock absorber much more interesting in the long term than simple sports shock absorbers that cannot be overhauled.
The HTR 255 mm is available for the classic PX platform. This includes PX80, PX125, PX150, PX200, the T5 125 and LML Star models. PX Lusso, Arcobaleno and the disc brake models are also covered.
