Alternator and voltage regulator
The BGM PRO alternator has modified coil wiring and produces a high voltage even at low engine speeds. This provides a bright, stable light even at idling speed.

Ignition
The BGM Pro ignition is based on the CDI technology used by Piaggio since the 1980s, which has proven itself millions of times over. The ignition pulse is triggered contactlessly via a so-called pick-up signal. The high ignition current, even at low engine speeds, ensures perfect starting behavior under all conditions. The contactless ignition triggering is stable well into the five-digit speed range.

Pole wheel
The pole wheels are matched to the respective application by their weight:

At 1600 grams, the smallframe models are perfectly suited to the lively characteristics of small engines.
At 2300 grams, the largeframe engines offer a wonderful blend of smooth running and very good acceleration.

They are finely balanced, offer fantastic concentricity and high ignition timing accuracy as well as very good magnetization. Thanks to the smaller circumference and the optimized vane surfaces, the engine responds very well to the throttle and has better acceleration and slightly more power.

Conversion
Vespa PX models between 1977 and 1983 were equipped with a battery and voltage regulator for the German market. In contrast to the later Lusso models, they have their own type of voltage regulator, recognizable by the double designation A|A on the regulator connections. Here, the ignition base plate has its own DC charging circuit for the battery. The original voltage regulator can therefore be retained during the conversion or, if it is missing or defective, replaced with a new regulator of the same type.

CONCLUSION
