Highlights

The SIP PERFORMANCE by VAPE Sport Black Edition is a contactless 12V AC ignition for classic smallframe models. The Sport CDI works with variable ignition timing adjustment and delivers a powerful power supply. An optical extra of the Black Edition: the black matt anodized CNC fan wheel - ideal if the pole wheel remains visible.

Why Sport?

The Sport version adjusts the ignition timing depending on the engine speed. This means that more pre-ignition is available for torque at low engine speeds, while pre-ignition is reduced at higher engine speeds.

Contactless: no contact breaker, no condenser, less maintenance.
Pickup arrangement: arranged in two parts one behind the other, less sensitive to lateral misalignment.
Markings: Markings on the pole wheel and base plate make basic adjustment easier (determine TDC accurately).

Black Edition: appearance and cooling

Matt black: CNC aluminium fan wheel, anodized - matches dark setups.
Stable rotor: manufactured in one piece, reduces imbalance and protects crankshaft bearings.
High cooling capacity: fan ring geometry is based on the volume flow of original PK fan wheels.

AC electrical system

The AC variant is the standard solution for vehicles without a battery. The alternating current generated is limited and stabilized via the AC controller.

Installation and instructions

Mount without tension and carefully establish ground points.
Retighten screws after 50 to 100 km.
The original pole wheel puller fits.
When converting from contact ignition, an adapted wiring harness is often useful.

The Black Edition has a black matt anodized CNC aluminium fan wheel. Technically, it corresponds to the Sport version with variable ignition adjustment.
This version is designed for the small cone 19/20 mm (M10). Later PK engines also have versions for the large cone.

Faultless ground connections are absolutely essential for long-term trouble-free operation.
