Intake funnel Venturi MRP RACING (MRP581) - for PINASCO SI28/28E

The PINASCO SI28/28E is not only larger in cross-section, but also differs in detail from the classic SI carburettors. An important point is the position of the idle throttle screw - as a result, many air filter solutions and standard SI intake funnels do not fit in practice. The MRP RACING Venturi (MRP581) is made precisely for this: a perfect fit for the SI28, CNC-milled and as a clean alternative to the standard air filter.

What a venturi changes on the SI28

Free airflow: The funnel replaces the air filter and ensures a more direct air supply.

Finer part-load setup: Many setups can be tuned more clearly in the range of around 1/8 to 1/2 throttle.

Typical SI effect: The engine often reacts noticeably more spontaneously due to the changed airflow.

SI28 fit: Designed for the PINASCO SI28, including the different idle throttle screw position.

Tuning: Keep an eye on air correction and jetting

A venturi significantly changes the conditions on the SI. To ensure that the engine runs smoothly in all areas, the tuning must then be checked and usually adjusted.

Air correction: the air proportion at the nozzle block often has to be adjusted in comparison to the air filter setup.

Secondary jet: here, too, it is not just the fuel bore that counts, but the interaction with the air proportion.

Starting point: a main jet in the 130-140 range is often used as a rough starting point, then run in cleanly and tune.

Practice: spark plug diagram, EGT or test bench help to avoid misinterpretations.
