Now with reduced passage for engine housings with small sealing surface (T5 and PX80-150 with less than 60 millimeters sealing surface, measured between the holes for the carburetor mounting bolts)
The newly added sealing surface inside the connecting piece forms a strong flow edge, on housings with long sealing surface we recommend to mill the connecting piece inside. Alternatively, we recommend the intake connection EVO1 from MMW.
As with all conversions to a diaphragm-controlled inlet, the original rotary vane control via crank cheek is not required. Therefore the engine housing can and should be milled (for an optimal performance increase). Optionally a crankshaft for diaphragm inlet is recommended for a further increase of the engine performance.
Attention: For assembly it is necessary to screw two brass threaded bushes (enclosed) into the holes of the carburettor fixing screws of the engine housing. The connecting piece itself is fixed to the engine housing with two M5 hexagon socket screws.
