If this is not enough power for you, you will have to convert to a reed valve intake. This allows the former rotary valve inlet to be enlarged without having to take its sealing effect into account. The diaphragm integrated in the new intake manifold controls the throttle. A carburettor with a cross-section of over 30 mm can therefore be used.
The diaphragm intake manifolds manufactured by MRP in Germany are designed for use with the high-performance diaphragm type of the Yamaha RD350LC YPVS. The intake manifolds are available with a stainless steel tube or a flat top part CNC machined from aluminum. The quality, fit and possible performance are worth every penny
. A big plus point of the MRP connecting pieces is that they do not require an adapter plate or that the engine housing has to be welded on. Suitable diaphragms are available from BGM, V-Force or directly from Yamaha. Racing product without road approval. However, the intake can be registered with an individual approval from the TÜV.
Attention: The nozzle only fits on engines whose carburettor sealing surfaces have a length of at least 70 mm measured between the carburettor stud holes in the direction of travel (see also Downloads).
