Clutch arm bgm PRO for Vespa Largeframe clutch cover - high-strength steel, CNC-milled: direct pressure point, shorter lever travel, double O-ring seal

Short stroke option CNC-milled incl. O-rings and clamping nipple Plug-and-play Largeframe 1963-2016 Piaggio 97984

Field of application

The bgm PRO clutch arm is the logical solution for all Vespa Largeframe models (e.g. PX, Sprint, Rally, T5, etc.). CNC-milled from solid material for maximum torsional rigidity, even with very tight clutch springs. Compared to the cast, original Piaggio lever, it is more torsionally rigid, offers practical additional functions and yet remains below the price of the Piaggio counterpart. The production is precise and the surface is of high quality.

Two mounting positions

The optional short-stroke position offers a great opportunity to operate the clutch with less lever travel on the handlebars. This is ideal if, for example, levers are mounted at a relatively short distance from the handlebar grip or if the operation is to be optimized for a smaller grip width (for smaller hands). Clutches with soft springs provide a good basis for this. In this case, the hand force still remains low and yet the clutch disengages and re-engages more quickly. The short-stroke position is at the inner engagement position, which is closer to the clutch cover. The conventional, outer position corresponds exactly to the Piaggio dimension and provides the standard characteristics.

Tight and easy to maintain

The double O-ring seal provides a reliable seal, even under intensive use. The slotted cable mount allows the clutch cable to be attached and detached quickly - saves time, protects the cable and makes adjustment easier.

Perfect fit and compatible

The lever is 100% compatible with all standard components: clutch cover, release lever and clutch arm spring. The part of the clutch arm inside the cover is profiled in such a way that there is no contact with reinforced clutches when riding, as is often the case with unmachined standard levers. The lever is also optionally available as a set with a completely CNC-machined bgm PRO SUPERSTRONG clutch cover.

Scope of delivery

Lever, two O-rings and a clamping nipple for the clutch cable. Piaggio references: 97984, 097984, 979844, B016418.

Advantages at a glance

- CNC-milled from solid material - high torsional rigidity

- Two cable pull positions - close to standard on the outside, short-stroke option on the inside

- Short stroke inside: more travel at the clutch, slightly higher manual force

- Double O-ring seal - permanently tight

- Slotted cable mount - quick cable change and easy adjustment

- Suitable for all Vespa largeframe clutch covers (approx. 1963-2016)

- Compatible with standard components and bgm PRO SUPERSTRONG

- Includes O-rings and clamping nipple

Yes. In principle, the lever fits all Vespa Largeframe models (approx. year of construction 1963-2016). Plug-and-play for Largeframe clutch cover. Piaggio references: 97984, 097984, 979844, B016418.
The short-stroke position is the inner engagement position, closer to the cover. The shorter lever arm generates more travel at the clutch with slightly higher manual force. The outer position corresponds to the original Piaggio dimension and offers the standard characteristics.
Two O-rings sit in a defined position in the mount and reliably prevent the ingress of oil - even with high mileage and frequent actuation. This keeps the cover area clean and reduces maintenance work.
The cable mount is slotted. This allows the clutch cable to be attached and detached quickly. This speeds up adjustment, prevents unnecessary bending changes and protects the cable.
Yes. The lever is also available as a set with a completely CNC-machined bgm PRO SUPERSTRONG clutch cover - for maximum fitting accuracy and stability.
