Black when off. Brilliant when on. The POWER1 LED PLUS tail light combines a deeply dark appearance with a light signature that reveals its full impact only when activated. A smoked lens meets a gloss black tail light surround – and behind it lies more than just a tail light and brake light: the PLUS version additionally integrates a turn signal function directly into the light unit.
The result is a tail light that changes its character depending on the situation. When switched off, the unit appears almost completely black. Once illuminated, the red LED lighting becomes clearly visible behind the dark lens. When indicating, part of the outer contour lights up amber. Black, red and amber become three completely different facets of the same tail light.
PLUS – because a tail light alone isn't enough
The defining feature is the additional lighting function. Alongside the tail light and brake light, this POWER1 PLUS version features an integrated turn signal function. The direction indicator therefore becomes part of the large outer light graphic of the tail light itself.
The product images show the effect clearly: in normal illumination, the outer contour forms a powerful red frame around the two central light sections. When indicating, the corresponding area changes to amber. Instead of a static light signature, the result is a functional light graphic that responds to the riding situation.
Gloss black meets smoked look
While the matt black PLUS version deliberately creates a technical and understated appearance, this version takes black in a different direction. The gloss black tail light surround reflects light and its surroundings, giving the dark unit additional visual depth.
Combined with the heavily smoked lens, it creates an almost continuous black surface when switched off. The glossy surround gives the tail light a premium, almost painted appearance and works particularly well with gloss black accessories, dark paintwork or a deliberately refined custom concept.
First dark. Then red. Then amber.
The real show begins when the light is switched on. Behind the dark lens, the red LED graphic emerges and redraws the shape of the tail light. The broad outer contour and the two inner illuminated sections are clearly separated by dark areas.
Activate the turn signal function and the graphic changes again. One side of the outer light contour illuminates amber while the remaining visible areas stay red. It is precisely this direct contrast between amber turn signal, red light and deep black surroundings that gives the PLUS version such a distinctive appearance.
Gloss instead of understatement
Black doesn't always have to mean stealth. In high gloss, it takes on a different character: deeper, more elegant and defined by reflections of light. That is exactly what gives this version its unique presence.
The glossy surround catches highlights, while the smoked lens visually conceals the lighting technology when switched off. This creates an exciting transition between surface and illumination: when parked, the finish defines the look; when illuminated, the LED graphic takes over.
One detail that transforms the entire rear end
The characteristic shape of the modern Vespa remains intact, but the POWER1 PLUS tail light gives it a distinctly more individual interpretation. The dark unit creates a strong contrast against light paintwork and blends particularly seamlessly into the overall appearance of black or dark-coloured scooters.
Chrome can look classic. Matt black can look technical. This gloss black version takes another route: it combines a dark custom appearance with a smooth, reflective surface and the additional visual dynamics of its integrated lighting functions.

Important information regarding E-mark approval
The POWER1 LED PLUS tail light has E-mark approval for its tail light and brake light functions. These functions are therefore approved for legal use on public roads.
The additionally integrated turn signal function does not have E-mark approval. The E-mark approval of the light expressly does not cover the use of the integrated turn signal function as a direction indicator on public roads.

Dark surface. Dynamic light.
When switched off, the smoked lens and gloss black surround merge into one dark unit. Switch it on and the red LED graphic breaks through the dark surface. When indicating, amber joins the display and changes the light signature once again.
That is exactly what makes the PLUS version so appealing: the tail light doesn't simply look different – its visual character changes with its function. A dark custom detail when parked, a striking light signature on the road.
