The main shaft corresponds to that of the Vespa PK gearbox type (recognizable from the outside by the nut with M16 thread and safety cage). However, the PK gearbox type was already used in vehicles from 1976 onwards (i.e. before the PK models, e.g. V50/PV125/ET3)*. The gear wheels suitable for this main shaft type can be recognized by the marking '42', which is cast in relief on the gear wheels.

This mainshaft can also be used in the V50, PV125, ET3 engines with the corresponding gear wheels. If a main shaft with M14 castellated nut was previously installed in your engine, the washer for the brake drum must be adapted (enlarge inner diameter) and the nut and locking cage of the PK models must be used. Alternatively, the brake drum and brake anchor plate of the PK models can also be used.
