bgm PRO Multitool – Combination Tool for Vespa

The bgm Multitool BGM8819N combines three essential tools in one:

  • Flywheel puller (M28x1 external thread)
  • Clutch puller (M26x1 internal thread for Vespa Smallframe)
  • Clutch compressor (for Vespa Smallframe)

Compared to the previous model, it now also includes:

  • Clutch compressor (for Vespa Largeframe)
  • Clutch puller (for Vespa Largeframe)

The M28x1 flywheel puller fits all Vespas with electronic ignition (except Vespa Rally 200 Femsatronic and PK automatic), including our ignition systems for converting Vespa Sprint/VBB and V50/Primavera, as well as the Malossi VesPower systems. This puller type also fits all large 2-stroke automatic engines from Piaggio/Gilera (e.g. Piaggio SKR, TPH125, Hexagon 125–180 or Gilera Runner 125–180).

Perfect for Smallframe: Convenient clutch & ignition work

The M26x1 internal thread clutch puller is suitable for all Vespa Smallframe models – V50/50N, SS90, Primavera, ET3, PK, PK XL2, etc. (Smallframe engines are identifiable by the clutch mounted on the secondary shaft).

The clutch compressor is also suitable for Vespa Smallframe. It allows clutch plate replacement with the clutch still installed in the engine. This eliminates the need to lock the primary drive and makes the fiddly spring refitting job obsolete, as the springs remain in place during the process.

The clutch often sits tightly on the crankshaft stub. This puller enables fast and damage-free removal.

Clutch compressor for Vespa Small + Largeframe with clutch removed

Perfect for compressing the clutch to relieve the retaining ring and enable a quick and safe pad change.

TECH TIP: The 6- and 7-spring clutches of Vespa Largeframe models are secured with a castellated nut. High torque required by performance engines often can't be applied reliably using these nuts. As a result, the Woodruff key shears, and the clutch hub gets locked onto the crankshaft stub by the metal debris – making removal extremely difficult even after undoing the nut. This puller is extremely helpful in such cases.

Recommendation: For 6- or 7-spring clutches, we recommend our special hex-head nut. It’s much easier and safer to handle than the traditional castellated nut and made from high-strength material, allowing full torque to be applied.

As lubricant we recommend BGM Pro Street gearbox oil BGM2025 (complies with API GL-3 specification).
