The mirror with Piaggio original part number 1C008765 is the right-hand version of the genuine Officina 8 bar end mirror. It serves as a direct replacement for the original right-hand mirror and can also be used to customise other Vespa models with suitable handlebar end configurations.
The Vespa Officina 8 represents a special combination of Italian craftsmanship, technical functionality and contemporary design. Its styling recalls the experimental development work and workshop culture that gave rise to numerous technical innovations throughout the brand's history.
This design philosophy is also reflected in the right-hand bar end mirror. The elegantly curved mirror arm features an elongated cut-out that visibly emphasises its technical construction. Installation on other Vespa GTS, GTS Super, GTV, Sprint, Primavera and Elettrica models is also possible with a suitable handlebar end configuration. The decisive factors are the available mounting point and the correct installation components at the right-hand end of the handlebars.
The mirror is mounted at the right-hand end of the handlebars. Depending on the vehicle model, additional mounting screws, spacers or other installation components may be required. These are not automatically included with the individual mirror and may need to be ordered separately.
Particularly when converting other Vespa models, it is important to check whether the existing handlebar weights, threads and mounting components are suitable for installation. On the right-hand side of the vehicle, special attention must also be paid to ensuring that the throttle grip remains completely free to move after installation and automatically returns to its original position.
The mirror must be securely mounted and adjusted to ensure sufficient rearward visibility. Steering movement and the operation of all controls must not be restricted.
