Suitable for many Vespa 125 models such as PX125, Cosa 125, GT, GTR, Super, VNA, VNB and numerous 125 Wideframe (V1 to V15, V30 to V33, VM, VN) and licensed models.

Original Piaggio 15 x 44 mm piston pin for classic Vespa 125 engines. The pin is a typical wear part for overhauls and is useful if the piston, piston pin bearing and connecting rod eye are to fit together properly.

Very important: Connecting rod eye old with bronze bushing vs. new with needle bearing

Wideframe and early Largeframe (VNA to VNB5T) originally had a connecting rod eye with plain bearings: a bronze bushing was reamed to the required clearance. Historically, oversize piston pins were also used to adjust the play.
With the introduction of the VNB6, the principle was changed: the connecting rod eye works with needle bearings and piston pin bearings in suitable designs are used accordingly.
If you want to refurbish an original old shaft: press in a new bushing and ream the bushing to fit a new pin.
Practice: crankshafts converted to needle bearings are often already available today. This version is generally preferable because it is easier to maintain and offers clean running conditions.

Note: For very early engines, please check whether the connecting rod eye still has plain bearings or has already been converted to needle bearings.

VNB6 typically marks the changeover to needle bearings in the connecting rod eye. On engines before this, the bushing in the connecting rod eye is a frequent issue during overhauls.
