Suitable for Vespa PX150, Cosa150, Sprint 150, Super 150, GL150, VBA, VBB as well as Motovespa CL/PX150, LML 150 2T and 150 wideframe models such as GS150, VL1 to VL3, VB1.

Original Piaggio 15 x 44.5 mm piston pin for classic Vespa 150 engines. Useful for overhauls when the piston pin, bearing and connecting rod eye need to fit together properly again.

Very important: Connecting rod eye old with bronze bushing vs. new with needle bearing

Wideframe and early largeframe models often originally worked with a plain bearing connecting rod eye (bronze bushing, which was reamed for clearance). Historically, there were also oversize piston pins for clearance adjustment.
In later engines, the connecting rod eye is often converted to a needle bearing or designed as such ex works. The clearance is then defined via the piston pin bearing.
Reconditioning an old original shaft: press in a new bushing and ream the bushing to fit a new pin.
Practice: if a crankshaft with needle bearings is available, this version is generally preferable.

Practical tips

Check dimensions: 15 mm diameter is not the same as 44.5 mm length. Always measure before ordering.
Bearings and clips: Replace piston pin bearings and retaining clips when overhauling.
Surfaces: Connecting rod eye and pin bores must be clean and free of burrs.
