SCHMITT presents the first series piston from VERTEX, the renowned Italian premium manufacturer. This piston is especially suitable for Simson mopeds and mokicks and serves as a replacement for the original piston. With a nominal diameter of 38.71 mm (3rd oversize), it is designed for 38 mm, 50 cc cylinder liners. The piston is made of an aluminum alloy with a high silicon content and has two 1 mm thick piston rings with a hard chrome coating. In addition, two additional lubrication holes for the 12 mm piston pin are axially offset so as not to weaken the piston pin guide. The pistons are balanced, which reduces their tendency to tilt and increases their service life. Rounded piston ring pins prevent breakage at the joints. C-clips or G-clips can be used to attach the piston, as there is a corresponding recess for removing C-clips. VERTEX pistons, which are also used as original equipment pistons by brands such as KTM, stand for the highest quality in the performance and high-end sector.
