SCHMITT introduces the first standard piston from VERTEX, the Italian premium manufacturer, for Simson mopeds and mokicks. This piston has a nominal diameter of 40.96 mm -A0- for 41 mm diameter and has been specially developed for 60 cc cylinder liners as a replacement for the original piston. It has two 1 mm thick piston rings with a hard chrome coating and is made from an aluminum alloy with a high silicon content, making it a top-quality product. Two additional, axially offset lubrication holes for the 12 mm piston pin strengthen the guidance of the piston pin. The piston can be attached with C-clips or G-clips, thanks to a special recess for removing the C-clips. Its balanced design minimizes the tendency to tilt, increases service life and reduces vertical running marks. Rounded piston ring pins protect against breakage at the joints.
