SCHMITT offers the first series piston from VERTEX, a renowned Italian premium manufacturer, for Simson mopeds and mokicks. This piston has a diameter of 42.21 mm (5th oversize) and is designed for 41 mm diameter and 60 cc cylinder liners as a replacement for the original piston. It is made of an aluminum alloy with a high silicon content and is equipped with two 1 mm thick piston rings with a hard chrome coating. The piston contains two additional lubrication holes for the 12 mm piston pin, which are axially offset, and is balanced to reduce the tendency to tilt and increase the service life. The piston ring pins are rounded to prevent the rings from breaking. The piston clip can be used either as a C-clip or G-clip, thanks to a special recess for removing C-clips.
