The DSE for 200 cc largeframe models is aimed at performance-oriented engines above 25 hp. On the road and on the quarter mile, it impresses with free revving and strong top performance. Historically, the layout has attracted attention in the scene with very high top speeds and strong times.
Clear racing focus: more moderate at the bottom than touring boxes, powerful in the mid-range and with a long, usable rev range at the top. With the right peripherals, the DSE delivers immense top performance and top speed via the revving capacity.
- Very good with large carburetor and large intake, ideal with reed valve system or highly optimized rotary valve.
- The exhaust tolerates long timing, approx. 130°/190° to 130°/195° depending on cylinder and setup.
- The primary design should not be too long so that the engine revs freely and generates top speed via engine speed.
Lefthand, spring mounting on manifold, standard brackets. Always adjust carburetor jetting and ignition setting individually, observe spark plug pattern and temperatures. Check screw connections after 50-100 km. Design the engine peripherals according to the target performance.
