Rear Wheel Bearing Cover Plate -MB DEVELOPMENTS- Lambretta LI, LIS, SX, TV (Series 2-3), DL, GP - flat and with a 0.3 mm step

A cover plate and cover sheet for the rear wheel bearing of the Li family—all in one—from MB Developments.

On the MB plate, the holes have been changed to slotted holes so that even the misaligned bolts on the bearing plate can be easily installed and removed. 

The stainless steel plate is available in a flat version and with steps of varying depths to compensate for protruding rear wheel bearings during installation. 

This version is made of stainless steel and is flat on one side and features a 0.3 mm deep recess on the other.

The flat side is perfect for rear wheel hub bearings that are flush with the housing or protrude by up to about 0.2 mm.

The side with the 0.3-mm recess is ideal for bearings that protrude up to about 0.5 mm from the housing.

This design is slipped over the bearing and ensures that the bearing stays in place when tightened.

The plate is also available with 0.5/0.7 mm and 0.9/1.2 mm steps.

Top Tip 1: Use M6 self-locking nuts and do not overtighten them to prevent the bolts from bending or damaging the threads in the housing.

Top Tip 2: Ideally, there should be a gap of 0.1–0.2 mm between the plate and the housing after tightening.
