Genuine Piaggio rear wheel rim in silver for Vespa LX, LXV and S models with 10-inch wheels. The aluminium rim corresponds to the standard production design and is intended as a replacement for damaged, deformed or visually worn rear wheel rims. With its classic five-spoke design and silver finish, it blends harmoniously with the original appearance of the Vespa.
The rim has a size of 3.00-10 inches and is designed for use with tubeless tyres. It is secured by a central wheel nut on the splined rear wheel shaft. The integrated brake drum also forms an essential part of the rear braking system.
The product images show a silver aluminium rim with five wide, evenly spaced spokes. These connect the central wheel body to the outer rim. The spokes have a broad, slightly contoured shape with rounded transitions.
Five large openings between the spokes create the characteristic appearance of this Piaggio rim. The silver coating extends across the visible outer surfaces and provides a uniform finish.
The mounting point for the rear wheel shaft is located in the centre. The internal splines are matched to the corresponding drive and provide a positive connection between the wheel and the rear wheel shaft.

The Piaggio rear wheel rim is designed for the installation of tubeless tyres. The tyre seals directly against the designated sealing surfaces of the rim bed. A separate inner tube is not required with this construction.
The rim width is 3.00 inches with a rim diameter of 10 inches. The valve hole has a diameter of 11.3 mm.
When fitting the tyre, the tyre dimensions approved for the respective vehicle and a suitable tubeless valve must be used.
For numerous Vespa LX models, a 120/70-10 rear tyre size is specified. However, the actual permitted tyre size depends on the respective vehicle version and the vehicle documents.

Before installing a new rear wheel rim, the splines of the rear wheel shaft, the mounting components and the brake components should be inspected.
Particular attention should be paid to the brake shoes and the contact surface of the integrated brake drum. Worn or damaged brake shoes should not be combined with a new brake drum without prior inspection.
When fitting the tyre, the sealing surfaces of the rim bed must be clean and undamaged. The tyre valve should be checked for its condition and suitability for the existing valve hole.
The rear wheel must be secured in accordance with Piaggio workshop specifications. Particular attention must be paid to the specified tightening torque of the central nut and the intended method of securing the wheel mounting.
After installation, the correct function of the rear brake, the proper seating of the tyre and the secure mounting of the wheel must be checked.
