We have consistently developed our proven bgm PRO tubeless rim further - and with the Superstrong version we present the new reference product in terms of stability, safety and ease of installation.

The new 5-bulge design stands for simplified tire mounting, maximum strength and low weight. Every detail has been rethought in our in-house development department - from the recessed rim well for easy tire mounting to the consistent design for maximum load.

Thanks to the KBA/TÜV approval, the rim is approved for front and rear wheels - it is the only retrofit rim that is also approved for use with sidecars thanks to a complex additional test. And all this without registration. This makes it the first choice for demanding riders who want to combine performance with legal certainty.

Tires and mounting

The 5-bulge design with five particularly deep and wide pockets creates space for the tire bead: the bead can slide into the drop center, the opposite side slides more easily over the rim flange - this makes mounting and demounting much easier, even with tight sports tires.

Yes, the rim has a valid KBA type approval and can therefore be used without registration - front, rear and in sidecar operation.
In Germany, no registration or TÜV presentation is necessary. In other countries, please observe national regulations and vehicle-specific requirements.

No, rims are not balanced on their own, but only the entire wheel - i.e. rim and tire together. The rims are manufactured very precisely and have a homogeneous mass distribution thanks to the low-pressure casting process. However, any imbalance can be caused by the respective tire. Here it is worthwhile to match the tire and/or work with balancing weights - as is usual for cars and motorcycles. Please note the clearance to brake parts. We carry extra flat adhesive weights for this purpose.
Coat the tire bead with a suitable mounting lubricant, ensure correct fit behind the double hump, adhere to the manufacturer's torque specifications, set the air pressure according to the tire release and check again after a short drive. We recommend mounting on a tire changer.
The classic Vespa design does not allow a genuine ETRTO drop center - regardless of whether drum or disc brakes are used. The 5-bulge design creates a practical mounting window and significantly reduces the tire load.
