Viton O-ring seal - VMC Explorer 244 and VMC Ranger 213/225 outlet nozzle

This Viton (FKM) O-ring seal seals the connection between the cylinder and the exhaust port - i.e. exactly where the port is inserted into the exhaust port of the cylinder. Suitable for VMC Explorer 244 and VMC Ranger 213/225 and therefore an important small component for a clean, tight exhaust assembly.

High temperatures, oil mist and vibrations are particularly prevalent at the outlet. An aged or crushed O-ring can quickly lead to leaks at the nozzle mount. Viton is the robust choice here: high temperature resistanceand good resistance to oil and fuel vapors. Ideal as a service part for initial installation, after dismantling the nozzle or if the outlet is "oozing".

Why Viton on the exhaust port?

Assembly instructions

Clean the mount: Remove oil carbon, sealing residue and dirt from the groove/support surface on the cylinder and nozzle.

Do not fit the O-ring "dry": moisten lightly (e.g. with a little 2T oil) so that the ring does not shear when inserted.

Check the fit: Sockets must be seated without tension - misalignment or tilting can damage the O-ring.
