Black accents instead of traditional chrome: the original Royal Alloy headlight trim ring in gloss black gives the round headlight unit of the JPS model range a clearly defined finish. The wide, gently curved surround emphasises the circular shape of the headlight and blends harmoniously into the characteristic retro design of the Royal Alloy JPS with its dark surface.
The trim ring is supplied as a separate genuine replacement part and is suitable for replacing a damaged or visually deteriorated headlight surround. At the same time, the gloss black version offers an opportunity to give the front of the scooter a distinctive dark design accent.
The design of the trim ring combines a traditional circular shape with a modern, glossy black surface. Unlike chrome-plated surrounds, its visual effect is not created by bright metallic reflections but by the contrast between the dark frame and the visible headlight surface.
The outer visible surface is wide and features a smoothly flowing curvature. Towards the headlight, it transitions into a narrow, continuous profiled edge. This provides a clean finish around the inner opening and emphasises the uninterrupted circular design.
The glossy surface reflects ambient light and highlights the curves of the trim ring, particularly when viewed from an angle. This gives the surround a three-dimensional, high-quality appearance despite its understated colour.
The rear of the trim ring reveals its shell-shaped construction. The continuous inner surface is designed to fit the mounting arrangement of the round headlight. Several mounting sections integrated into the contour feature holes for installation at the designated attachment points.
Some of the mounting holes are positioned within recessed sections. This allows the outer lines to remain largely uninterrupted while visually integrating the mounting points into the component.
As a separate bodywork and decorative component, the trim ring can be replaced independently of the actual headlight unit. If only the surround is damaged, replacing the complete headlight is therefore not necessarily required.
The headlight trim ring is intended for the corresponding round headlight unit of the Royal Alloy JPS. Compatibility with other Royal Alloy model ranges or different headlight versions cannot be assumed automatically.
Before installation, compare the existing headlight surround, the positions of the mounting holes and the original spare part number. During installation, ensure that the trim ring sits evenly and that the designated mounting points are correctly aligned.
This article includes the headlight trim ring only. The headlight housing, lens, reflector and bulb or LED unit are not included.
To clean the gloss black surface, we recommend using a soft cloth together with a suitable mild cleaning agent. Abrasive cleaning products and stiff brushes should be avoided to prevent scratches on the visible surface.
