Genuine Royal Alloy right handlebar grip in red for GP, GT, JPS and TG models. The grip is supplied as a complete unit with a pre-fitted white plastic throttle tube. It is intended for the right-hand side of the handlebar and, in addition to providing the gripping surface, also performs the mechanical function of the throttle control.
The dark red, slightly burgundy-coloured version matches the classic Royal Alloy colour scheme. The profiled rubber grip with moulded RA emblem provides a genuine appearance. Thanks to the pre-fitted throttle tube, the component is particularly suitable for completely replacing a damaged or worn right-hand grip assembly.
The Royal Alloy handlebar grip consists of two functionally different components: the outer grip body made from flexible rubber and the internal rotating throttle tube made from plastic.
The rubber grip is firmly connected to the throttle tube. When the handlebar grip is turned, the throttle tube rotates with it and transfers the rotational movement to the vehicle's throttle control.
Unlike the left handlebar grip, it is therefore not mounted directly onto the fixed handlebar tube. Instead, the throttle tube is guided on the handlebar and connected to the existing throttle mechanism.
The main advantage of this version is that both components are replaced together. The existing throttle tube does not have to be removed from the old rubber grip and reused.
The scope of delivery includes the right rubber grip together with the pre-fitted white throttle tube.
The white throttle tube is clearly visible in the product images. It extends beyond the wide inner flange of the red rubber grip.
The visible connection section has a cylindrical basic shape with a continuous opening to accommodate the handlebar tube.
There are differently shaped projections and recesses around the outer circumference of the connection section. These contours are designed for the mechanical connection to the intended throttle control mechanism.
The exact shape of this connection profile is an important distinguishing feature compared with universal throttle tubes. It must match the respective version of the handlebar controls and throttle mechanism.
The throttle tube is designed as an integral part of the right handlebar grip and transfers the rotational movement, while the fixed handlebar tube serves as a guide.
The grip body is made from flexible rubber material and has a dark red colour with a burgundy-like appearance. The surface is predominantly matt and shows slight satin reflections depending on the incidence of light.
The main gripping surface has an elongated shape and is slightly curved in the central section. This creates a characteristic contour that differs from a simple cylindrical rubber grip.
Several parallel longitudinal ribs run across the grip body. They divide the surface into sections of different widths and create additional contact edges for the hand.
The profile ribs are moulded directly into the rubber material. There are no separately bonded or attached profile elements.
The flexible material provides a slightly compliant surface and forms the actual contact area between the rider's hand and the throttle grip.
The characteristic Royal Alloy emblem with the letters RA is located in the centre of the visible grip surface.
The letters and surrounding emblem outline are raised and moulded directly into the red rubber material. The logo has the same colour as the grip body and is therefore an integral part of the surface structure.
The longitudinal profile ribs are interrupted in the area of the emblem and continue on both sides.
There is also a narrow section with a fine diamond pattern on the inner side of the handlebar grip. The small diagonal profiles create a distinctly textured contact surface.
This area is located immediately in front of the wide inner grip flange and complements the longitudinally ribbed main profile.
The inner flange is widened into a disc shape. At the outer end of the grip there is a smaller circumferential end flange with rounded edges.
Both end sections define the gripping surface and complete the characteristic Royal Alloy design.
The red handlebar grip is intended for the right-hand side of the handlebar on various Royal Alloy models from the GP, GT, JPS and TG series.
Royal Alloy original part number 0310030001-02-016 identifies the red version of the right handlebar grip including the throttle tube.
A separate handlebar grip without a throttle tube is used for the left-hand side of the handlebar. The corresponding red version has Royal Alloy original part number 0310030002-02-016.
When selecting the replacement part, the original part number and the existing throttle mechanism should be checked. In particular, the connection profile of the throttle tube must match the respective vehicle version.
Replacement of the right-hand grip assembly may be necessary if the rubber grip is damaged, heavily worn or hardened. A damaged or stiff throttle tube may also make replacement of the complete unit necessary.
Before removal, the existing arrangement of the throttle control should be checked. Particular attention should be paid to the connection between the throttle tube and the operating mechanism.
After removing the existing grip assembly, the new handlebar grip with the pre-fitted throttle tube is installed on the right-hand side of the handlebar and connected to the throttle control.
The throttle tube must be able to rotate freely on the handlebar tube. At the same time, the mechanical connection to the throttle control must be correctly established.
During installation, ensure that there is sufficient clearance between the outer end of the grip and adjacent components.
After installation, the throttle grip must move freely throughout its entire intended rotational range. It must not rub or bind against the handlebar controls or the handlebar end.
It is particularly important that the throttle grip returns automatically to its starting position. This function must be checked with the engine switched off and at different steering angles.
If the throttle grip sticks, moves stiffly or does not return reliably, the vehicle must not be operated. In this case, the installation and the complete throttle control system must be checked.
The red Royal Alloy handlebar grip combines the brand's characteristic design with the mechanical function of a complete throttle grip assembly.
The dark red rubber grip with RA emblem, longitudinal ribs and diamond pattern retains the classic handlebar appearance. At the same time, the integrated white throttle tube allows the complete right-hand grip assembly to be replaced.
Royal Alloy original part number 0310030001-02-016 provides a vehicle-specific replacement part for GP, GT, JPS and TG models, designed for repairing the right-hand throttle side.
