During installation, it is essential to ensure that the shock absorber piston rod does not protrude above the retaining nut. In addition, a retaining nut with the original overall height must be used. Failure to follow these instructions, or using a taller nut, may cause the piston rod to contact the vehicle during suspension compression, potentially resulting in damage to the shock absorber and/or the vehicle.
