The black powder-coated version delivers a particularly technical and sporty appearance. The dark finish of the rear wheel hub blends harmoniously into the overall appearance of the wheel suspension, allowing your chosen wheels to take centre stage. Especially when combined with black, bronze or gold wheels, the result is a striking visual contrast.
Sometimes the best ideas are born when people who share the same passion come together. At the Scooter Center Open Day in spring 2026, the idea emerged in collaboration with ScooterTec Deggendorf to make the enormous selection of Vespa GTS wheels available for modern Royal Alloy models as well.
This idea developed into a completely new wheel hub adapter kit through close cooperation. As the first conversion kit of its kind on the market, it enables the installation of 12-inch and 13-inch Vespa GTS wheels on Royal Alloy GP, TG and JPS 300–350 models. This opens up access to numerous wheel designs that were previously intended exclusively for the Vespa GTS.
At the heart of the kit are two specially developed wheel hubs manufactured in Germany. The rear wheel hub is made from high-strength 42CrMo4 quenched and tempered steel and features a durable black powder-coated finish. Its dark surface emphasises the functional character of the design while providing a discreet, premium appearance.
The front wheel hub is manufactured from high-quality 6083 aluminium and features a silver powder-coated finish. Both components have been specifically engineered to meet the requirements of the Royal Alloy suspension systems and the mounting configuration of Vespa GTS wheels.
The combination of precision-manufactured components, high-quality materials and carefully selected parts makes this kit a well-engineered solution for demanding custom conversions.
This conversion involves much more than simply replacing two wheel hubs. To install Vespa GTS wheels on Royal Alloy models, the rear braking system and the position of the ABS sensor must also be adapted accordingly.
For this reason, the kit includes a specially developed rear wheel hub with a brake disc from renowned manufacturer Braking and a modified ABS tone ring already pre-assembled. The rear wheel hub is supplied as a fully prepared assembly.
The front wheel hub also comes with the required wheel bearings already installed. A ByBre (Brembo) rear brake caliper with pre-installed brake pads is included for the rear braking system. The kit is completed by a specially adapted ABS sensor bracket, spacers, a suitable banjo bolt with new sealing washers and the additional small components required for installation.
The result is a coordinated conversion system in which the essential components are already prepared for installation.
The ScooterTec x Scooter Center wheel hub adapter kit allows Vespa GTS wheels in 12-inch and 13-inch sizes to be fitted. This opens up numerous possibilities for transforming the appearance of your Royal Alloy.
From classic designs with subtle colour accents to modern, sporty wheels with particularly distinctive spoke patterns, almost any desired style can be achieved. Important information regarding tyre dimensions:
The front tyre width restriction for 12-inch wheels results from the limited clearance around the front Anti-Dive suspension system. Depending on the tyre construction, excessively wide tyres may come into contact with the Anti-Dive damper mounting. Actual clearance must be carefully checked for every wheel and tyre combination.
The kit is designed for use with 12-inch and 13-inch Vespa GTS wheels. The selected wheel and tyre combination must be checked for correct mounting, sufficient clearance and road-legal approval.
Not included: Wheels, tyres and wheel mounting bolts.
Installing the wheel hub adapter kit requires professional work on the suspension, braking system and ABS system. The supplied installation instructions must be followed carefully.
We recommend that this conversion is carried out exclusively by appropriately qualified professionals.
The wheel hub adapter kit is supplied without ABE, TÜV approval documentation or a parts approval certificate (Teilegutachten). It does not automatically have approval for use on public roads.
For questions regarding a possible individual vehicle inspection and registration, please contact ScooterTec Deggendorf directly. The road-legal approval of the intended wheel and tyre combination should be clarified with the responsible inspection authority before carrying out the conversion.
