Genuine Piaggio ABS sensor for detecting rear wheel speed. The sensor is part of the anti-lock braking system and provides the rear wheel speed signal required for ABS operation. It is suitable as a genuine replacement for a defective or damaged rear wheel speed sensor.
The sensor unit is designed specifically for the vehicle application and includes the sensor head, permanently attached cable and electrical connector. This allows the sensor and connecting cable to be replaced as a complete unit.
The product image shows the angled sensor head with the attached black sensor cable. The cable features additional protective sheathing and a rubber guide for correct routing on the vehicle. The corresponding electrical connector for the vehicle wiring harness is located at the opposite end.
During installation, the sensor head, cable and electrical connection must be positioned according to the original cable routing. The cable must not be kinked, crushed or routed against moving or hot components. The ABS tone ring and sensor area should also be checked for damage and contamination during the repair.
After replacement, the correct operation of the ABS system must be checked. The genuine Piaggio sensor allows the complete rear sensor unit, including the connecting cable and electrical connector, to be replaced.
