Standard lead-acid battery without battery acid.
This conventional battery is delivered dry pre-charged.
Once filled with battery acid (not included), the battery becomes ready for use within about 1 hour. Filling should be done using appropriate safety gear (goggles, gloves) and suitable tools (funnel and possibly paper towels). Fill the acid up to the maximum mark, wait approx. 5 minutes and refill if necessary. Then let the battery degas for about 1 hour before reinserting the previously removed plugs (side ventilation must remain open).
Conventional batteries require some maintenance to maintain full capacity. This includes regularly checking the acid level. Refill only with distilled water, not acid.
NOTE: When selling starter batteries, the following applies: According to §10 BattG, the seller is obligated to charge a deposit of €7.50 (incl. VAT) if the customer does not return an old starter battery at the time of purchase. A deposit voucher will be issued with the battery purchase. If the old battery is returned at an official recycling point, the customer must have the return confirmed with a stamp and signature. This confirmation can then be sent to the seller with the customer number for a refund. Alternatively, the battery and voucher can be returned directly to the seller for refund. (Due to hazardous goods regulations, shipping the used battery to the seller is not allowed.)
