Professional solution for all Wideframe and Largeframe Vespa front swingarms 1949-1962
BELASTBAR
Extremely resilient brake pad bolt from BGM PRO. The brake pad bolt supports the suspension spring from below. The bolt is therefore exposed to heavy loads, especially with reinforced springs and higher performance engines. For this reason, Piaggio has provided a grease nipple for regular relubrication of this highly stressed point. Experience shows that this regular interval (every 2000 km) is rarely adhered to. As a result, the bolts available on the market wear out quickly. They are often not dimensionally accurate and/or made of unsuitable material.
MADE IN GERMANY
In order to supply the best quality component available on the market, the BGM PRO bolt is manufactured in Germany to specification. Only the very best material is used (1.4112 / X90CrMoV18). This has a high tensile strength, high hardness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance. This makes the BGM PRO bolt a durable and sustainable solution.
FEATURES
Material: Premium steel 1.4112 (X90CrMoV18) with high tensile strength
Heat treatment: plasma nitrided
Surface finish: fine turned (RA0.1)
Corrosion-resistant
Extremely resilient, ideal for reinforced chassis
QUALITY
The bolt is also plasma nitrided. This ensures an extremely long service life for the bearing points. It can therefore withstand a lack of lubrication much better than the original part.
The bolt has a very high surface quality (finely turned) and was manufactured exactly to Piaggio dimensions with extremely low tolerances.
Replaces the original part 1:1 (no longer available from Piaggio).
NOTE: Spanish (Motovespa) and French (ACMA) vehicles have a slightly different length dimension on the brake pad bolt. Here, the fixing nut can be shimmed with an M8x1mm washer to guarantee a perfect frictional connection.
