Suitable for Vespa Rally 175 (VRD1T), Rally 180 (VSD1T) and 180 Super Sport (VSC1T) with original breaker ignition.
This breaker cam is the right spare part for the original ignition system of Rally 175, Rally 180 and SS180. It actuates the breaker mechanically and is therefore directly relevant for a clean ignition timing. As soon as the cam, groove or seat are worn, the ignition becomes inaccurate and should be repaired.

Why the cam is important
clean ignition triggering: the cam directly determines the opening point of the breaker
Stable ignition timing: ignition remains reproducible only with a clean running surface, intact groove and tight fit
less wear: correctly lubricated contact area protects the friction block on the breaker hammer
Important for a long service life: Lubricate the felt cleanly
The felt piece for lubricating the cam must be clean and should be lightly coated with grease. This minimizes wear on the bearing of the ignition contact hammer and keeps the ignition timing clean for longer.
Note on the feather key / crescent key
The original feather key (colloquially known as crescent key) is no longer available for this cam holder. This feather key is shared by the following vehicles:
Vespa 160 GS (VSB1T) from engine number 36098
Vespa 180 Super Sport (VSC1T)
Vespa 180 Rally (VSD1T)
Vespa 200 Rally (VSE1T) up to chassis number 33996
The feather key is only used for fixing and positioning and does not transmit power.
A half-moon wedge from the PX models, for example, can be adapted as a replacement.
Practice: File the height of the PX half-moon flatter until it fits properly for this application.
