Made in GermanyBGM PRO Clutch Kit 23/62 (i = 2.70) for Vespa Largeframe with 8-inch tires. The touring-oriented gear ratio is about 13% longer than the standard 22/67 and is particularly well-suited for high-torque 177-cm³ engines.
The balanced gear ratio for high-performance touring engines based on an 8-inch frame. This complete conversion kit combines the BGM PRO Superstrong 2.0 SPORT CR80 Ultralube clutch with a straight-toothed 23/62 primary drive and matching clutch cover.
With a gear ratio of 2.70, the primary drive is approximately 13% longer than the stock 22/67. This reduces the engine speed in all gears while maintaining the same driving speed.
The 23/62 is particularly well-suited for classic two-channel rotary-slide engines built with a modern 177-cm³ cylinder, a matching crankshaft, and a high-performance box exhaust system.
It offers a good balance between usable acceleration and a longer overall gear ratio without making the engine excessively long.

The Superstrong 2.0 SPORT CR80 uses aluminum friction plate carriers with sintered linings and 16 mm wide driver tabs. The torsionally rigid CNC-machined clutch basket ensures precise power transmission and clean disengagement.
Ultralube technology improves oil supply to the hub profile and clutch plates. The included clutch cover provides the necessary installation space for the larger clutch.
With the primary repair kit, which is also included, the wear parts of the shock absorber can be replaced at the same time during the conversion.
For many street-oriented 177-cm³ engines, this combination offers a well-balanced overall gear ratio. The key factors are torque curve, gear ratios, and actual wheel diameter.
The new version has a 1.61% longer reduction ratio. The primary ratio changes from approximately 2.74 to 2.70.
Yes. The original primary sprocket is replaced with the straight-toothed BGM PRO version with 62 teeth. To do this, the engine case must be opened.
Yes. With a compatible BGM clutch pinion with 24 or 25 teeth, the gear ratio can be further increased while retaining the 62-tooth primary sprocket.
