Made in GermanyBGM PRO Clutch Kit 24/62 (i = 2.58) for Vespa Largeframe with 8-inch tires. Approximately 18% longer primary gear ratio compared to the stock setup. Ideal for high-performance 177-cm³ engines with corresponding torque and an optimized intake and exhaust system.
Long primary ratio for high-performance Vespa Largeframe engines with 8-inch tires. The BGM PRO conversion kit combines the Superstrong 2.0 SPORT CR80 Ultralube clutch with a straight-toothed 24/62 primary gear ratio and all essential components for the conversion.
The ratio of 2.58 corresponds to a gear ratio that is approximately 18% longer than the stock 22/67.
This variant is particularly suited for powerful 177-cm³ engines in which the intake timing, carburetor, and exhaust have been tuned to work in harmony with the cylinder.
With sufficient torque, the longer gear ratio allows for a lower RPM at cruising speed and better utilization of the available power. This is a noticeable advantage, especially with the small 8-inch wheels.

The BGM PRO Superstrong SPORT CR80 is designed for high loads. The aluminum friction plate carriers with sintered linings and 16 mm wide driver tabs offer high load capacity and enable sporty shifting.
The precision-machined CNC clutch basket ensures consistent engagement and disengagement. Thanks to Ultralube technology, the hub profile and friction plates are specifically lubricated with transmission oil.
The 62-tooth straight-cut primary sprocket is designed for use with the corresponding BGM clutch sprockets. The matching clutch cover and the primary repair kit are already included.
Primarily for high-performance 177-cm³ engines with an improved intake, a suitable crankshaft, and a powerful exhaust system. The engine should already deliver sufficient torque at medium RPMs.
At the same engine RPM, the 24/62 is theoretically about 4.35% longer than the 23/62. It therefore further reduces the RPM at the same speed but also requires more torque for good acceleration.
For a stock engine that hasn’t been modified, this long gear ratio is generally not recommended. Its advantage is most noticeable in engines with correspondingly higher torque.
No. The kit includes the matching BGM PRO Superstrong clutch with a 24-tooth straight-toothed pinion. The pinion is matched to the included 62-tooth primary sprocket.
