This means that they no longer twist despite the increased spring force and the clutch can separate cleanly and exert even more contact pressure on the clutch facings due to the stronger spring. The enclosed springs are already sporty taut, so the conversion to a clutch cover of the Vespa XL2 models is definitely advisable for the everyday driver. This allows, due to a different lever ratio and a rack and pinion operated release mechanism, a much easier operation of the clutch lever on the handlebars. A good and sufficiently dimensioned clutch cable with PTFE inner life ideally complements this conversion.
