Crankshaft - DEXTER RACING full cheeks (Vespa Smallframe) - 54mm stroke / 105 mm connecting rod / Ø 88.5 mm cheeks

Heavy-duty tuning shaft for Vespa smallframe engines with cylinders from 125 cc and diaphragm intake (on the cylinder or in the housing). To increase torsional rigidity, the shaft has enlarged cheeks with Ø 88.5 mm; the crankcase must therefore be spindled out to Ø 89-90 mm. Designed for powerful setups up to >30 hp.

Stroke 54mm Connecting rod 105 mm Cheeks Ø 88.5 mm Cone Ø 20 mm (large) Suitable for >30 hp

Technical features

Full cheeks for maximum pre-compression and rigidity
Enlarged overlap on the crank pin for high torsional rigidity
CNC connecting rod 105 mm, high-quality crank pin & needle bearing
Standard shaft width 35 mm, shaft seal seat Ø 20 mm
Large/blunt cone Ø 20 mm (PX-typical ignitions/pole wheels for smallframe adapter)

Installation & compatibility

For smallframe engines with cylinders ≥125 cc and reed valve inlet (cylinder/casing)
Housing machining required: spindles to Ø 89-90 mm (cheeks Ø 88.5 mm)
Compatible series (gearbox housing): V50/50 Special, Primavera 125, ET3, PK (S/XL/XL2), PK ETS, PK HP/FL2
Recommended for high-performance setups, trackdays & long-distance riding - suitable for everyday use with the right set-up

Note: Case machining & design

Crankcase diameter Ø 88.5 mm → spindle out crankcase to Ø 89-90 mm.
The 105 mm connecting rod length changes the crushing edge/timing - adjust with base/head gaskets if necessary.
Designed for setups with >30 hp; particularly recommended in conjunction with reed valve intake systems.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions about the DEXTER full cheek shaft

No. Due to the Ø 88.5 mm cheeks, the smallframe housing must be spindled to Ø 89-90 mm.
For diaphragm inlet on the cylinder or in the housing. The full cheek geometry is not intended for classic rotary valves.
Shaft seal seat Ø 20 mm (large cone).

Conclusion: Very resilient full cheek race shaft with 54/105 geometry, high torsional rigidity - the robust basis for powerful smallframe engines at a fair price.
