Malossi is now finally venturing into the sensitive subject of the crankshaft in the scooter sector. The know-how gained in automatic tuning has been visibly incorporated into the design of the high-end crankshaft, which is designed as a full cheek. Beautiful details, such as the balancing with tungsten weights, fine threads on the crankshaft stubs and the chamfered upper connecting rod eye, testify to the effort that Malossi has put into this crankshaft.
APPLICATION
Designed for use with Malossi's own direct-intake 136cc cylinder, it can of course also be combined with any other cylinder or engine case that no longer uses the standard intake control by means of a rotary valve. The stroke is standard at 51 mm, the connecting rod length is 8 mm longer at 105 mm. This means that a corresponding cylinder or alternatively a correspondingly thick spacer on the cylinder base can be used. In both cases, the overcurrent inlets on the cylinder are so far away from the motor housing that it only needs to be adjusted very slightly.
SPECIAL FEATURES
At Ø25mm, the stub on the alternator side already has the diameter of the PK125 ETS crankshaft. It therefore offers the most stable solution for mounting the flywheel. However, unlike the ETS template, the Malossi crankshaft only has a Ø22mm shaft seal diameter. A special WeDi is therefore required here (included in the scope of delivery). Engine housings that do not have the large needle bearing on the alternator side ex works also require a special ball or roller bearing (25x47x12).
NOTE: The crankcase of the small engine half (alternator side) must be enlarged in diameter to accommodate the enlarged crank web.
