LTH box exhaust for Vespa PX125 - free-revving, pluggable, top speed

Significantly more rev-happy than Polini Box Suitable for plug-in tuning No high exhaust angle necessary Plug-and-play Near-series box look Moderate volume

We have brought back the popular LTH box - speed instead of torque - yieehaa!

Field of application

The LTH box for PX125 plays to its strengths on high-torque street and touring setups. It builds up speed primarily via revs, remains easy to ride at the bottom end and blends in unobtrusively with the standard trim. Ideal for engines that are not geared too long and therefore achieve both pulling power and a convincing top speed.

Characteristics

Compared to typical touring boxes, the LTH box revs noticeably further and more willingly - significantly more rev-happy than the Polini box, for example. This is achieved without extreme timing: The system works excellently with plugged cylinders and does not require a high exhaust angle. The result: a lively mid-range, free revving top end and a background noise level suitable for everyday use.

Setup and gear ratio

- Do not select a primary gear ratio that is too long, so that the engine can rev freely and generate top speed via the revving capacity.

Installation and tuning

Plug-and-play at the original mounting points. Ensure stress-free installation and tight connections. After installation, tune the carburetor properly (adjust the main jet accordingly) and check the spark plug pattern. Check screw connections after the first 50-100 km.

Scope of delivery

LTH box exhaust system.

Advantages at a glance

- High-revving design - top speed over engine speed

- Works very well even without a high exhaust angle - ideal for plug-in tuning

- Noticeably livelier than typical touring boxes

- Near-standard look and solid ground clearance

- Plug-and-play, volume suitable for touring

The LTH box is significantly more rev-happy and revs out further. It generates speed primarily through its revving capacity, but remains easy to control and suitable for everyday use.
No. The PX125 version works very well with plugged setups and close-to-stock timing. Careful carburetor tuning is nevertheless mandatory as the system reacts more to over-greasing than a Polinibox, for example.
Not too long. The box rewards setups that rev freely. An overlong primary takes away liveliness and reduces top speed despite its free-revving character.
Yes, the near-standard box design fits inconspicuously with good ground clearance. The background noise is moderate and suitable for touring, depending on tightness and setup.
