Polini 133 cc cast iron cylinder for Vespa PV, ET3 and PK125
The Polini is the all-time favorite for all smallframes. Polini claims over 9 kW, which is achieved at a speed of 7,200 rpm. The rich pull from the engine speed basement is typical of Polini. Despite the fairly high base power, this cylinder can still be used as a tourer, with a wide rev range and ample torque across the entire rev range, so that even long journeys are not a torture. Thanks to the excess power available, it can also accelerate comfortably from very low engine speeds.
Outputs that crack the 14 kW mark are not uncommon. However, modifications to the transfer ports and exhaust are unfortunately unavoidable. However, a racing shaft and a 24 mm carburetor are mandatory for this.
Our absolute favorite among the racing exhaust systems is the Hammerzombie, which supports the powerful torque of the Polini and still makes a lot of steam up to 8,000 rpm. For those who like it a little more comfortable, the VSP Inox is a good choice. A nice torque curve is ideal for touring and is easy on the material.
