DMP brake master cylinder for the left-hand side of the handlebar on various Vespa, Gilera and Piaggio models. On the listed Vespa GT L, GTS and GTS Super models, the master cylinder operates the hydraulic rear brake. The component is designed as an aftermarket replacement for the standard brake master cylinder.
The brake master cylinder is supplied as a complete unit with a black master cylinder body, integrated brake fluid reservoir and silver brake lever. The unit also features a handlebar clamp, mirror mounting point and brake light switch. It is therefore suitable for replacing a damaged, leaking or worn original brake master cylinder.
The compact housing combines the master cylinder and brake fluid reservoir in a single unit. The reservoir is accessible via a screw-mounted cover. The marking on the reservoir cover specifies DOT 4 brake fluid.
After replacing the brake master cylinder, the hydraulic brake system must be correctly filled and completely bled. Before riding, check the brake system for leaks, verify correct operation of the brake light switch and ensure that the brake has a clearly defined pressure point.
