The rubber silent blocks are subject to the same wear directly in the engine housing. Here too, wear and tear is noticeable by the same symptoms. Replacing these components will allow the scooter to track again and drive safely.
TIP: The swing arm bolts are made of untreated steel. If the O-rings that seal the plastic bushings against splash water are defective / porous the axles rust.
Often the surface of the axles is so scarred by the corrosion that even the new bushings can't align much anymore. Therefore replace them if necessary and coat everything with waterproof grease before assembly!
Do not select the tightening torque of the swing arm mounting in the frame too high. Otherwise the swing arm will jam and the scooter will vibrate strongly. The large silent block in the middle of the swingarm only dampens the up and down movement of the swingarm and has almost no influence on the lateral guidance of the swingarm.
This block is also available in a small version (SKR, TPH, Hexagon EX) on the early Piaggio models. This is no longer available and cannot be replaced by the later, larger one. In some early models the seat diameter of the plastic bushings is slightly smaller than in the bushings of the runner models which are only available today.
Therefore check the diameter before installation and grind the swing arm a little bit if necessary.
