Racing exhaust -EGIG PERFORMANCE- Mamba S (Silent) - mid-race exhaust for powerful street tuning for Vespa Smallframe

Compatible: Vespa Smallframe setups in the 100-144 cc range (e.g. Quattrini M1L60, Polini Evo)

The EGIG PERFORMANCE Mamba S (Silent) from South Tyrol is a mid-race system that sits between the Python and Cobra and was developed for powerful street tuning on Vespa Smallframe engines. In the S version (Sport and Silence), a larger rear silencer is used, which noticeably reduces the driving noise compared to the previous Mamba.

EGIG Mamba S (Silent) concept

The Mamba S is designed as a classic resonance system for powerful smallframe setups between 100 and 144 cc. It harmonizes particularly well with cylinders such as the Quattrini M1L60 or Polini Evo. If the timing is right, the system rewards you with a rich, practical torque and a wide power band that is pleasant to ride on the road.

Typical for the design: The power input starts from around 6000 rpm, the power peak is around 8000 rpm and is maintained over around 1500 rpm. This results in a usable band that is not only aimed at peak power, but also drives the engine cleanly over a wide range.

1.5 mm sheet metal - more stable and acoustically quieter

The sound box of the Mamba S is made of 1.5 mm thick sheet steel. The greater wall thickness has a damping effect on the vibration behavior of the exhaust body and thus reduces the typical clanking of the sheet metal. At the same time, the system is less sensitive to vibrations and mechanical stress in tough road use.

It is manufactured in the classic way as a resonance body by hand. The thicker material makes forming more complex, but the result is a robust exhaust system that remains stable even with powerful engines and rough everyday use.

Performance range and setup notes

The Mamba S is designed for engines between 100 and 144 cc. A very wide power plateau is achieved with suitable control angles. 127°/184-188° control angles are recommended as a guideline. In this environment, the system delivers a rev-happy, yet easily usable band for sporty street engines.

Version S: Sport and Silence

The S version is based on a larger rear silencer and offers a significantly reduced driving noise compared to the previous Mamba. This makes the Mamba S suitable for all those who want to drive mid-race performance without the system being unnecessarily in the foreground acoustically.

Material and surface protection

The exhaust is made of steel and is supplied unpainted. A heat-resistant paint finish or galvanic treatment is recommended for long-lasting rust protection. The silencer is made of aluminum (Ø 70 mm).

Conclusion

Classic resonance exhaust for powerful smallframe road engines: The EGIG Mamba S delivers a very nice power band with rich torque and revving pleasure with the right timing. Designed with 1.5 mm thick sheet metal, the system runs noticeably quieter and more stable, while the S version with a larger rear silencer significantly reduces the driving noise.
