The Polini Box exhaust is a very good alternative to the well-known but now aging SIP Road. The Polini outperforms it across the entire rev range, both in power and torque. The early and strong torque delivery makes the Polini Box the ideal touring companion. The well-thought-out construction of the Polini exhaust allows the system to maintain its low and pleasant noise level permanently.
The Polini Box is built slightly wider for more volume, but not higher than a stock exhaust. This makes it a good choice even for vehicles with limited ground clearance (Rally, Sprint, and all models with 8-inch wheels such as VBB, VNB...).
The quality and fit are good, and even the exhaust paint on the header pipe lasts unusually long. Works very well with the BGM177 cylinder.
Tip: Choose jetting approx. 2–3 sizes richer than with a SIP Road
Note: The exhaust was explicitly designed for PX models. On older vehicles built before the PX series, the center stand stop tab may touch the header pipe. Either modify it accordingly or check whether a spacer between the shock absorber and frame has been installed that is too long (Sprint/Rally = 26 mm). On 125–150 cc engines of the Sprint, VBB, etc., the engine case should also be drilled to allow a through-bolt for the exhaust. Otherwise, the exhaust will hang only on the rear bracket, which is not sufficient in the long run and may break off.
