The HITECH CARBONE HTR 195 mm is a technically sophisticated front shock absorber for classic Vespa smallframes. It is aimed at riders who are not just looking for a stiffer replacement shock absorber, but a cleanly tuned suspension solution with high-quality materials and real adjustment options. On the smallframe front in particular, a cleanly working damper makes a noticeable difference in terms of stability, braking behavior and precision on poor roads.
The classic smallframe fork in particular benefits significantly from a high-quality damper. The HTR ensures a more controlled front end, more composure when braking and a more precise feel on undulating asphalt or poor road surfaces. This is not only interesting for sporty engines, but also for powerful road and touring setups where the suspension needs to work properly.
The HTR is designed as an oleopneumatic gas pressure shock absorber with a separate reservoir. The mounting area of the reservoir is made entirely from Ergal. The 14 mm piston rod is made of hardened C45 steel, the upper mounting eyelet is made of stainless steel. The spring is made of hardened steel and works with 7 mm wire thickness.
The Black Edition has a durable black anodized finish. The preload nut and compression adjuster are finished in a titanium look. This gives the shock absorber a high-quality, sporty look without unnecessarily detracting from the classic smallframe look.
The HTR dampers can be fully regenerated, but only with original components from HITECH CARBONE. This makes the shock absorber much more interesting in the long term than simple sports shock absorbers that cannot be overhauled.
This 195 mm version is designed for classic Vespa smallframes and is available for the V50, PV125 and ET3, among others. Manufacturers also sometimes refer to other smallframe series such as 90 models or PK 50. The article allocation discussed here refers to V50, PV125 and ET3.
