MALOSSI MHR Team 2 internal rotor ignition for Piaggio 50 cc AC

Internal rotor ignitions are a must for all high-end engines.

The ignitions fitted by the series manufacturer only provide a clean ignition pulse up to a certain speed. The Malossi MHR Team II ignition works up to 20,000 rpm. The discharge voltage is around 30,000 volts. Thanks to the extremely small and lightweight rotor, the engine is much more responsive to the throttle and offers more power across the entire rev range. This means that your scooter not only accelerates much better, it also achieves a higher top speed.

The microprocessor-controlled CDI unit offers the additional advantage of variable ignition timing. As the engine speed increases, the timing shifts towards top dead center. This gives you a significant gain in torque at low revs and reduces the thermal load on the engine in the upper rev ranges.

The scope of delivery of this ignition consists of: Flywheel, stator, ignition coil and the microprocessor-controlled CDI unit. As this is a pure racing part, the alternator has also been sacrificed to the god of performance. However, the ignition is now only there to ignite the mixture. No more power is supplied to the vehicle electrical system. So you no longer have a light either.

Conclusion: Radical solution for extreme engines.
