Manufactured entirely in Europe. Laser-marked components, meticulously balanced pole wheel/fan wheel (approx. 1,600 g). CNC-milled aluminium fan wheel with optimized geometry delivers high cooling performance with stable flywheel mass.
The VAPE completely replaces the contact ignition and comes with a powerful 12 V alternator. Powerful permanent magnets generate high ignition current and bright light even at low engine speeds. The engine starts more easily, contact maintenance is no longer necessary.
AC system ex works; can be easily converted to DC by replacing the regulator (earth-free stator). With DC, the battery supplies all consumers - power is available even without the engine running.
delivered with static ZZP (CDI). Ideal for typical 2-stroke street setups. A dynamically adjusting CDI can be used as an option if the engine concept requires it.
Simple installation at original points. Adjustment without strobe thanks to markings. Install stress-free, make ground points clean, retighten screws after 50-100 km.
The original alternator on many Largeframe models is self-regulating and decentralized: individual coils feed individual consumers directly - without a voltage regulator. Modern VAPE systems work centrally: all coils supply power to the regulator via a main power cable, and only there is the power distributed (AC or DC).
The old, decentralized wiring harness is therefore not electrically compatible. In addition, old wiring harnesses are often corroded internally and cause high losses. We recommend and supply an exactly fitting conversion wiring harness - easy to connect, ideal for a clean on-board electrical system.

The VAPE also works reliably on engines with "flying" crankshaft bearings (axial offset under load), as no aligned trigger surfaces are required in the pole wheel.
