The intake area of the SHA carburetor series from Dell'Orto is anything but aerodynamically shaped ex works for cost reasons. Tuned engines with SHA carburetors therefore benefit greatly from an improvement in this area.

The SIL Tech Performance intake funnel optimizes the gas flow. Powerful 70-75cc cylinders in conjunction with the small SHA carburetor generate very high flow velocities. This is precisely where the SIL-Tech Performance intake funnel comes in. It ensures that the air can flow into the venturi area of the carburettor in a controlled and concentrated manner without creating wake vortices.

The result is improved performance across the entire rev range.

On an engine with 75cc Malossi deps with Ø27mm outlet cross-section and SHA 13.13 carburettor, the improvement in peak power is 0.3PS. In the power increase range, which is very relevant for acceleration, the intake funnel delivers a whopping 1PS more. In relation to this range, this corresponds to a power increase of over 20%.
