Front Axle Mount Piaggio – Brake Caliper and Shock Absorber Mount for Vespa Primavera and Sprint

Genuine Piaggio axle mount for the single-sided front wheel suspension of various Vespa Primavera and Sprint models. The component performs several functions within the front axle assembly and provides the designated mounting points for the front brake caliper and shock absorber.

The axle mount is designed as a genuine replacement for the standard Piaggio component. The Piaggio original part numbers are 1C0023405 and 1C002340, with 1C002340 superseded by 1C0023405.

Bearing housing with two needle bearings

A key feature of the axle mount is the large cylindrical bearing housing. It is already fitted with two needle bearings. The bearing area is provided with lubricant and sealed on the outside by a black radial shaft seal. This means that important components of the bearing assembly are already integrated into the axle mount.

The product images also show several precisely machined holes, mounting points and contact surfaces. The various functional and mounting areas are connected by formed ribs and reinforcements. Separate mounting points are provided for the installation of the front brake caliper and shock absorber.

Installation note

The axle mount is a safety-relevant component of the front wheel suspension and is also involved in mounting the brake and suspension components. Replacement should therefore be carried out correctly. During installation, the associated axle and mounting components as well as adjacent parts should be checked for wear or damage.

After installation, the mounting of the brake caliper and shock absorber as well as the correct function and free movement of the front wheel suspension must be checked.
