Set of engine oil dipstick and gearbox oil dipstick BGM PRO made from CNC-milled, high-strength aluminium.
You can find the inspection schedule with all maintenance intervals for your Vespa GTS here.
ENGINE OIL CHECK
Do not warm up the engine; let it cool down for approx. 10 min if necessary. Park the vehicle on a level surface. Unscrew the dipstick and clean it with a clean cloth. Screw the dipstick back in completely. Then unscrew it again and check whether the oil level lies between the two grooves. The upper groove marks the maximum fill level, which corresponds to 1300 ml of engine oil and must not be exceeded. When warm, the oil level will be lower – let the engine cool for 10 minutes and recheck if necessary.
The lower groove marks the minimum level. The difference between both markings is approx. 200 ml. If the oil is below the lower groove, top up accordingly. After checking, screw in the dipstick securely.
GEARBOX OIL CHECK
Park the vehicle on a level surface.
Unscrew the dipstick and clean with a clean cloth.
Screw it back in completely.
Unscrew again and check if the oil level reaches the groove.
If it's below, top up as needed.
After checking, screw the dipstick back in and tighten securely.
