This hood fits also on the Vespa PX models from 1983 on, whose hoods are already locked by a so-called inner lock. On these vehicles there are locking latches below the seat which fix the side covers by a mechanism inside the frame. With this hood the engine area gets considerably more cooling and engines whose carburettors suck in directly in this area also get more fresh cool air for a better charge density.
TIP: With a small modification the hoods fit also on the older chassis with external lock. To do this, you only have to weld a small plate to the side cover in which the lever of the frame lock can engage.
TIP: We recommend to assemble the scooter in its raw state before each painting, a so-called dry-build. Here any necessary adjustments can be carried out quickly and easily without damaging the new paint. Then assembling the freshly painted parts is twice as much fun!
NOTE: Unpainted article with transport primer. We recommend to remove it before painting. Scratches in the primer are not a defect.
