This tank set is the all-round carefree package for your Vespa PX Lusso from model year 1984 - version without separate lubrication (self-mixing) and with fuel gauge. You get a high-quality manufactured tank with factory-typical, petrol-proof paintwork, which is already completed by us - including BGM PRO Faster Flow fuel tap, ZADI cap, TPR-PUR hose, Viton frame seal and mounting material. Means: unpack, install, ride.

Important note: Version without separate lubrication

No oil tank / no oil filler neck: This tank version is intended for vehicles that add oil to the gasoline themselves (e.g. 1:50 or 1:33).

For PX with decommissioned separate lubrication: ideal if the oil tank has been removed or the Autolube function is no longer used.

Scope of delivery and design

Tank: PX Lusso design (from 1984), without separate lubrication, with holder for tank sensor, painted gasoline-proof.

Fuel tap: BGM PRO Faster Flow, pre-assembled, 3 positions(on/off/reserve).

Fuel hose: BGM PRO TPR-PUR (does not harden), typical Vespa dimensions (Ø7x14mm), incl. 2x original hose clamps.

Frame seal: Viton (permanently petrol-resistant, does not swell, retains its shape).

Tank cap: ZADI (made in Italy), PX Lusso / Arcobaleno / EFL, bayonet-style closure.

Mounting material: fixing screws included.

Fuel tap: Operation and reserve (despite fuel gauge)

The pre-assembled BGM PRO Faster Flow fuel tap offers the classic three positions:

C (Chiuso) - Closed

A (Aperto) - Open

R (Reserva) - Reserve

Practical plus: Although this is the tank version with fuel gauge, you can also use the reserve function. You can either drive as usual according to the display and reserve light - or you can stay in the normal position and switch manually when the reserve threshold is reached.

Reserve quantity: approx. 2 liters and therefore about 1 liter more than with the original fuel tap.

Compatibility and use

Suitable for: all PX / Motovespa PX vehicles with fuel gauge in the speedometer (PX Lusso / Arcobaleno / EFL / Iris, depending on model).

Without separate lubrication: for self-mixers (oil is mixed with the gasoline).

Also suitable: if the separate lubrication system has been decommissioned or removed (conversion to self-mixing).

Note tank sender: The tank is designed for the plastic tank sender. Tanks for metal tank sensors are no longer manufactured. This tank set can therefore also be used as a replacement for older versions - in this case, the existing metal tank sensor must be converted to the modern plastic tank sensor.

Installation tip: Hose guide and seal

Viton frame seal: is already included in the set - please insert cleanly so that the tank sits with little vibration and no chafing occurs.

Fuel hose: lay as short as possible, as long as necessary (no tension on the carburetor). The original hose clamps can be easily removed and fitted using pliers.
